Our studio positioned Patel Brown in a way that feels familiar, yet fresh within the world of art galleries. The identity does not shy away from playfulness and colour, but lives within a bold modernist attitude.
Not often do you see a gallery owned by two partners. It’s common to see a singular name at the entrance of a gallery. We took inspiration from this, and the mirrored forms of “p” and “b” to create a bold monogram that can build recognition for years to come. The form we created spotlights the partnership, but also creates a sense of entwining, emphasizing the importance of collaboration and community that Patel Brown strives for.
The simple forms of the monogram made for a seamless secondary logo for the gallery shop, which we rebranded as Patel Brown Ltd, or PBL for short.
